Shettima reaches out to former Katsina SSG
The All Progressives Congress( APC) vice presidential candidate Senator Kashim Shettima has visited former Secretary to the Government of Katsina State (SSG) Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa for reconciliatory efforts ahead of 2023.
Shettima, who visited Inuwa in the company of Katsina APC Gov candidate, Dr Dikko Radda,also visited Islamic cleric, Sheikh Yakubu of Jibwis and several others before leaving Katsina on Sunday on what he called ” social visit”.
The former Borno Gov arrived Katsina on Saturday evening and departed around 11am.
He declined press interviews at the Presidential lodge complex on Sunday morning where he had passed the night.
He said: “I am here ( Katsina ) on social visit and not for politics,” he told newsmen who approached him for interviews at the lodge shortly before he left.
Governor Aminu Masari and Radda saw him off at the lodge on Sunday morning .
The spokesman of Mustapha Inuwa also confirmed the meeting between Shetima and his principal in a chat with The Nation .
A Chieftain of the APC in Katsina state,who pleaded anonymity, told The Nation at the Presidential lodge in Government House Katsina,that the party needs to reconcile Inuwa and others to do well at the 2023 elections.
