Easter: Ashiru Campaign Committee Sue For Peace, Forgiveness

As Christians worldwide celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter, the Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru Campaign Consultative Working Committee has urged Christians to imbibe the enduring peace the Easter offers.

A statement issued by the director Media Relations of the committee, Edward John Auta said the season also calls for sober reflection, forgiveness, love and sacrifice as exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ashiru is one of the Kaduna State Governorship aspirants for the 2023 general elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The Hon Isa Mohammed Ashiru Campaign Consultative Working Committee rejoices with Christians the world over, particularly those in Kaduna State, on the occasion of the 2022 Easter Celebrations, after a 40-day Lenten period marked by intense prayers, fasting and alms-giving.

“This season calls for sober reflection, forgiveness, love and sacrifice as exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“May we also use the occasion to pray for the return of peace, unity, and progress which have eluded our dear State and Country for the past couple of years.”

He also prayed that the lessons of the season guide our lives and actions while wishing all a peaceful and Happy Easter celebrations.
