10 reportedly dead, others trapped as building housing Salvation ministry collapses

 10 reportedly dead, others trapped as building housing Salvation ministry collapses



About ten people have been reported dead as a building housing Salvation Ministry, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, collapsed.


It was learnt that the building was being used for the first time for service on Tuesday when it collapsed.

At the time of filing this report, we could not confirm the number of those trapped but there are reports that eight persons have been rescued unhurt, while four persons have been rushed to the Asaba Specialist Hospital

According to Vanguard, Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah; the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ononye Mordi, a team of Red Cross officers and firefighters are presently at the site on a rescue mission.
