   Prompt Attention By LG Boss Averts Gas Explosion In Ado-Odo/Ota LG



The Executive Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa has through prompt attention averted  gas explosion at Itori Community in Iyesi Ota thereby saving   lives and property of  people living in the area.


The Chairman, Hon. Musa Sheriff made this known to the journalists while inspecting the site of the gas explosion at Itori Ota .


According to him the  feat was achieved through the reports from the team of Shell Nigeria Gas led by the External Relations Manager, Mr Tunde Olakeke  about the leakages of the gas pipelines.


The council Boss explained that the joint team of the  Local Government  and Shell Nigeria Gas immediately visited the area in order to  assess the extent of the damage saying this enabled the Shell company to quinch the effects in the community. 


"After assessment, I had to give immediate order to everyone running activities within the vicinity of the leakage to as a matter of urgency, suspend their activities until the leakages are fixed by the Shell Nigeria Gas", LG boss explained.



Also Speaking,the External Relations Manager of Shell company, Mr. Tunde Olakeke stated that it will require three to four weeks for them to fix the damage of the pipelines advising the residents  to vacate the area and remain calm.


The Baale of Itori Community, Chief Adeolu Adeyinka, who was also present during the inspection of gas pipelines, appreciated the quick intervention of the joint team led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa on the issue of the leakages saying the measure has averted calamity in the community.
