The Ogun State Government has assured of its strict compliance to the dictates of the asset declaration process when necessary and zero tolerance for anyone who feel they are above the law.

The Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele disclosed this in Abeokuta, during a courtesy visit by representatives of the Code of Conduct Bureau, led by its newly appointed Federal Commissioner in Ogun State, Dr. Olayinka Balogun, saying the present administration would observe the rule of law at all times.

Engr. Salako-Oyedele said the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the Code of Conduct Bureau forms are properly filled by both public and civil servants.

"The present administration in the State has no tolerance for anyone who thinks they are above the law, so I can readily assure that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring due process is strictly adhered to, as and when due. I wish to congratulate Dr. Balogun on your appointment’’, she said.

Speaking, the Commissioner representing South West in the Bureau, Prof. Samuel Ogundare, said the visit was to inform the government that the verification committee would be coming back to the State soon, to ensure forms collected were properly filled.

In his remarks, Dr. Balogun explained that the agency was given a mandate to establish and maintain high standards of public morality, adding that the government would ensure that the actions and behavior of public officers conforms with dictates of the Bureau.

Balogun encouraged all concerned persons to get the assets declaration form, fill it properly and submit it to the agency office at the Federal Government Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Other State Government officials present include, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu and the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile.
